Last year the Democrats were, for the most part, united. With Hillary Clinton as our presumptive leader we hailed forth proud to be Democrats, joyous that HRC would fix the nations’ problems, and confident of a sure victory against the Republicans on election day. The Hillary 4 U and Me video published less than a year ago reminds us of this unity:
As the video shows, Democrats of all stripes united with HRC. There have been many Democrat candidates for the 2008 presidential nomination, but only one has successfully united the party: Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Now I will talk about a more serious related issue. During our worst crisis in recent history, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, U.S. political people instinctively sought HRC as the leader to guide them. Ann O’Leary, Clinton’s Legislative Director at the time, says even though many were confused by the 9/11 attacks Clinton quickly understood it was a terror attack...
...we thought it was an accident as many people did when the first plane hit, and we watched together on CNN when the second plane hit and it was quite, you know, stunning and alarming and I, you know, wasn’t sure how to interpret it and it was really interesting to me...what Hillary’s reaction was. She knew that it was terrorism. She knew already and suspected which terrorist organization it was...She was very concerned about whether our country was ready and...raised these concerns on the call and said “I need to come in immediately. I need to get off the phone. I need to get in my car and come to the Senate.”
...So I had some young people coming down and was trying to ease their concerns when the plane hit the Pentagon and so the Capitol police began to evacuate the building. It was quite a-it still kind of gives me the chills to think about it-it was quite a scary time, so we ran out and got everyone out the door and it was as we were going down the final steps in leaving the building, the Russell Building which is one of the Senate office buildings, Senator Clinton’s car pulled up and she happened to be standing there as we came out...she had held her hands out and we came to her and she calmed us and said forcefully this is where the senior staff and this is where you should go... she wanted to make sure where we all were and that she calmed down these junior staff people who were really kind of nervous and told them to go home and she’d be in touch with everybody...It was very calming to see her presence there.
O’Leary goes on to describe how politicians sought Clinton for guidance...
...the senators from all over the country had been dispersed...but at the end of the day the senators came back together...at 5:00 o’clock in the evening they came to the Capitol police station so that they could have a meeting...one of my fellow staff members had been with Senator Clinton briefing her and when she came out of that meeting heard all of these senators talking about Senator Clinton in that meeting, Republicans and Democrats alike...realizing that apparently when she was in that meeting she began to be the person that everyone was looking to on September 11th...they were saying to her because of her experience in the White House now again her experience at the White House is often dismissed but the fact of the matter is that she learned a tremendous amount about the problems that face our country and the threats that face our country...senior senators from Republicans and Democrats alike were looking to her for leadership and guidance at that five o’clock meeting at the end of the day. And they got it, she was really able to kind of brief them and tell them what ...her concerns were, what she thought should happen...

Last year's unity was good for the Democrats. Hillary Clinton has unified the Democrats. No other candidate can compare to her ability to unify. HRC is our unifier:
