I’m thankful to the Clinton administration for greatly improving the lives of Americans. At the beginning of the administration the federal budget deficit was $290 billion which was the largest deficit in U.S. history. President Bill Clinton said…
“[We put] the nation’s economic house in order by focusing on cutting the deficit in half, bringing interest rates down, and spurring private investment to fire up the nation’s stagnant economy. When I ran for president, job growth had been at the lowest level since the Great Depression, unemployment was at 8%, and the deficit was soaring out of control.”

The Clinton administration was the opposite of the Reagan/Bush administrations in the way they saw America. The Clinton administration saw Americans as a united people who all deserve to be helped. That is why during the Clinton years there were record-low poverty rates. A lot of demographic groups that had been ignored during the Reagan/Bush years finally were given more respect and they got help they needed. The Clinton administration economic policies helped bring about the lowest poverty rates for single mothers, Blacks and the aged. The Clinton brand’s trademark is caring about America by finding solutions to our problems. Real solutions not just theories and talking.
The Clinton administration created the longest economic expansion in U.S. history. Many unemployed people were happy to be hired during this time and they knew that if trouble hit and they lost their jobs that there were plenty of other jobs available so they didn’t have to worry so much about money as they had done during the Reagan/Bush years. The Clinton administration created the lowest poverty rates since the early 1970’s.

President Bill Clinton didn’t achieve this great good just from hiring smart people. He was smart and had a vision to help people and was willing to roll up his sleeves and do the difficult work of implementing his policies. As we all know from experience, thinking about how to solve a problem is a lot easier than fixing the problem. We need another president who will work to help Americans and I believe the candidate who can do the most help is Hillary Clinton. She was one of President Clinton's top advisers. Senator Clinton has proven she is loyal to America and wants to improve the lives of all Americans and has the ability to get projects completed like providing millions of children with health insurance and improving the economy of rural New York. The Clinton brand is a trusted brand.
